Where to order lab tests online: sellers, fees and state limits
You can order many lab tests online without bringing a doctor's order: the seller arranges the order through its own clinicians and you visit a lab or use a home kit. Here is every seller in our price tables, what they list, who can order, the fees they list and the state limits they note (prices checked Oct 20, 2026).
Sorted by how many of our 23 tests each seller lists, not by quality or price; we don't rank sellers. Links to sellers on this site are not affiliate links today (see our disclosure).

From our price tables: fees are those shown on product pages; state limits are those recorded in our notes for at least one listing, so a seller may have more. 20 of 23 sellers sell to the public; others are limited to a clinic's patients or to providers.
How ordering without a doctor works
For the sellers marked "Self-order", you pay online and the seller's own physician network or partner clinicians authorize the order. For example, JustLabs says "One $18 fee per order covers your Quest blood draw and the independent physician order, however many tests you add", and Own Your Labs describes itself as "a service we've set up in partnership with participating clinicians". Standard blood tests are drawn at a Quest or Labcorp location; specialty tests such as GI-MAP or DUTCH are home kits mailed to the lab.
Several sellers say they cannot serve some states, most often New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island; check the "State limits" column and the seller's checkout. Who can order and where are each seller's rules; confirm on the seller's page before paying.
