Longevity blood tests: what each measures, the evidence and prices
"Longevity blood tests" is not a medical category. On this page it means the 12 routine blood and lab tests we track that preventive-health and longevity programs commonly include. For each one: what it measures, what published guidelines say (our evidence level), and the lowest price open to the public at the sellers we track (checked Oct 20, 2026).

Prices include fees each seller lists on its product page. The evidence level summarizes guidelines and systematic reviews for the test's main use; each test page shows the summary and sources. It is not a recommendation to take or skip a test.
How we rate the evidence
We publish a tier only when we can cite a guideline, systematic review or major professional-society statement: Established · Widely used, with known limits · Emerging · Not validated. Most of these standard tests are Established for a specific use, such as HbA1c in diabetes screening (US Preventive Services Task Force) or cystatin C when a creatinine-based kidney estimate is less accurate (KDIGO 2024). hs-CRP is rated "Widely used, with known limits": the 2018 AHA/ACC cholesterol guideline treats it as a risk-enhancing factor in selected adults, while the USPSTF found the evidence insufficient for adding it to routine risk assessment. Details and sources are on each test page.
Two common questions
- ApoB vs Lp(a): what each test measures, how they relate, and what each costs.
- Longevity panel cost: what these tests add up to when bought individually, compared with Function Health's membership.
Whether any of these tests fits your situation is a question for a clinician; this page compares published guidance and prices only.
