Heart panel cost: cholesterol, ApoB, Lp(a) and hs-CRP

A "heart panel" isn't a standard lab product; sellers bundle different tests under that name. Here we add up the four heart-related blood tests we track: a cholesterol panel, ApoB, Lp(a) and hs-CRP, at the lowest prices open to the public (checked Oct 20, 2026).

Total
Lowest price per test, added up$78.26
Lowest single-seller order$69.82 at Mito Health (non-member price)

"Per test, added up" may mean different sellers, separate orders and separate blood draws. "Single seller" counts a per-order fee once (once per lab visit where tests go to different labs). Fees are those listed on product pages; shipping and tax are not included.

What each test is for

Guidelines treat these tests differently. The 2019 ESC/EAS guideline recommends LDL cholesterol as the primary lipid analysis and ApoB for risk assessment in some groups, and says Lp(a) should be considered at least once in adulthood. The 2018 AHA/ACC guideline lists ApoB, Lp(a) and hs-CRP as risk-enhancing factors when measured in selected adults, and the US Preventive Services Task Force found the evidence insufficient to assess adding hs-CRP to routine risk assessment. Details are in ApoB vs LDL, ApoB vs Lp(a) and on each test page. This page compares prices; it is not a recommendation to order any test.
