DUTCH Complete vs DUTCH Plus: what the Plus adds and what it costs
DUTCH Complete and DUTCH Plus are dried-urine hormone tests from Precision Analytical. The Plus adds one thing: a cortisol awakening response (CAR) measurement. Here is what that adds, per the lab, and what it costs extra at the same sellers (checked Oct 19, 2026).
What's the difference?
Precision Analytical describes the DUTCH Complete as "a bundle that includes the sex hormone, adrenal, and organic acid panels", and the DUTCH Plus as "a DUTCH Complete™ plus the DUTCH CAR (Cortisol Awakening Response)". The lab describes the CAR as "measuring cortisol levels right after waking", and lists "6 Salivette™ saliva collection tubes" in the DUTCH Plus kit.
We have not reviewed published guidelines or systematic reviews on either test (evidence level: Not yet reviewed). This page compares prices and the lab's descriptions; it is not a recommendation to order either test.

Insurance and HSA/FSA
Precision Analytical says: "We do not bill or accept payment from insurance and we are considered out of network." It adds that if a provider orders the test and you have out-of-network coverage, you can submit a receipt to your insurer for possible reimbursement, and that "We will accept payment from FSA/HSA if it is in the form of a credit card." The IRS counts "laboratory fees that are part of medical care" as medical expenses; check with your plan administrator whether a given test qualifies.
